The artist
After studying anthropology at the
Catholic University of Nijmegen and
Visual Art at the Academy of Utrecht, I have been working since 1989 as
a painter on silk. I love to work with this material: the way paint finds
its way on silk. It's an adventure to see the unpredictable results time
after time.
In my work I try to create an atmosphere
of contemplation, rest, introspection. In my applied artwork I just want
to be funny, creative and let people enjoy the beauty of Silk.
